DDR5, the latest iteration of memory technology, surpasses its predecessors in terms of speed.
With a remarkable 50% increase in bandwidth, DDR5 achieves a data transfer rate of 4.8 GT/s, while DDR4 lags at 3.2 GT/s.
DDR5 operates at a lower voltage of 1.1v, compared to the 1.2v of DDR4. This advancement enables the DIMM to provide more precise control over power delivery, resulting in smoother, consistent, and reliable operation.
